Open House at Producers' Choice Draws Large Crowd
With early morning rains followed by cloudless skies, more than 200 investors, family and dignitaries turned out to tour the new biodiesel plant in Moberly, MO. Following a ceremony which featured comments from Board Chairman Jim Beckley, the CEO David Zielke and Mark Johnston of Process Concepts, visitors walked through the "state-of-the-art" facility on tours guided by the members of the managing board.
The impressive facility was available to the investors and guests prior to the final stage completion. Company officials expect biodiesel production to begin in mid-July. The adjoining crush facility will be completed shortly thereafter and operational by the end of summer.
PCSE is a $17-5-million operation and will produce quality biodiesel from multiple feedstocks, including soybean oil and animal fats. Once in full operation, more than 20 people will be employed and the economic impact will create a positive effect on both area farmers and biodiesel consumers.
